Prayer for the peace of the country
Our Father in heaven and on earth, Creator of Israel and its Redeemer, bless the state of Israel, the beginning of the blossoming of our salvation. Cover her with the shadow of Your mercy, and spread over her the canopy of Your peace, and send Your light and Your truth upon the head of her government, upon her ministers, and upon her counselors, and uphold them with good counsel from Your presence, to preserve the peace and holiness of our land. Strengthen the hands of the defenders of our holy land, and our God will grant them salvation and crown them with a crown of victory, and grant peace to the land, and everlasting joy to its inhabitants. And our brethren, the whole house of Israel, command us in all the countries where they have been scattered, and bring them quickly to Zion, your city, and to Jerusalem, the dwelling place of your name, as it is written in the law of Moses your servant: "If your outcasts are in the uttermost part of heaven, from there your God will gather you, and from there he will take you. And your God will bring you into the land which he has given you." Your fathers inherited it, and you will inherit it, and it will be good for you and increase you more than your fathers." And unite our hearts to love and fear your name, and to keep all the words of your law, and send us your righteous Messiah, the son of David, to redeem those who wait for the end of your salvation. The glory of the majesty of your power will be revealed to all who live in the wilderness of your land, and everyone who has breath will say: "O God of Israel, your king, and his kingdom is throughout all the kingdoms!"
