She is like the ships of a merchant; From afar, she comes to her heat. And she rises, while it is still night, and gives prey to her household; And a law for her youth. She sowed a field, and took it; From the fruit of her hands, she planted a vineyard. She girded her loins with strength; And strengthened her arms, she sowed. She tasted, because her merchandise was good; Her fire did not go out at night. Her hands, she sent forth in youth; And her hands, she strengthened the yoke. Her hands, she stretched out for the poor; And her hands, she sent forth for the needy. Her household shall not fear the hail: for all her household are clothed for years. She hath made for herself carpets; blue and purple is her clothing. She is known for her hair; when she sitteth with the elders of the land. She maketh a sheet, and selleth it; and a girdle, she giveth it to the jealous. Strength and honour are her clothing; and she playeth for the latter day. Her mouth, she openeth in wisdom; And the law of grace is upon her tongue. Her house is full of thorns; and she shall not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up, and leave her; her husband - and praise her. Many daughters, they make an army; and you - you have gone up to her. Grace is a lie, and beauty is a veil: a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
